Retorno del Rey, Km 14.5 — Reaching Your Wedding, and the Light Once You Arrive

Kempinski sits at Retorno del Rey 36, a quiet loop off Boulevard Kukulcán at km 14.5, roughly the center of the hotel zone. From Cancún International Airport (CUN) it is about a 20–25 minute drive, so guests landing in the morning can settle in before an afternoon ceremony. That central position is a genuine convenience when your guest list is scattered across different hotels — nobody is making a long haul to reach you, whether they are staying north toward km 9 or south toward km 18.

If you want a change of backdrop between ceremony and reception, two of the coast's most photogenic beaches are close by. Playa Delfines (km 18), with its hilltop El Mirador lookout and the oversized CANCÚN letters, is about a 7–10 minute drive south; the livelier Playa Fórum (km 9), in the heart of the zone, sits roughly 10–12 minutes north.
