This is a large property with an unusually long list of places to put people, and the list is worth reading before you choose a ceremony time. At sea level there is the resort's own sand, the sculptural gazebo that faces the horizon, Pier 8 among the palms and, furthest out, the private pier itself. Inland from those sits the Grand Garden, green and enclosed, which is where cocktail hours end up. Then the property goes vertical: the Sky Deck on the fourth floor with a lift to reach it and a bar already installed, the glass-walled Sky Bar above, the Wine Room at Club 82 looking into the treetops, and the Fives Grand Salon indoors when the dinner is large or the sky is unreliable.

This choice sets the tempo of the whole day, so make it before anyone drafts a timeline. A civil marriage in Mexico brings witnesses, paperwork and a stricter clock.
