Nobody Is Going to Talk You Into It: Every Session Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen Guests Book, Free to Hold

Six friends who agreed on this in a group chat two winters ago and finally lined up six flights. Couples marking nothing at all, who want one hour of the week to survive as more than a screenshot. An anniversary nobody back home was told about, so that nothing had to be organised around it. A proposal that arrives written down, the words sent ahead so we know when to stop moving. A private yacht morning, agreed faster than dinner ever is. A birthday its owner would rather nobody mentioned. A honeymoon photographed on the last morning, once the exhaustion wears off. A babymoon between the last scan and the last permitted flight. A mother and a grown daughter who travel now as equals. And one person alone, in the outfit bought for this trip and not yet worn.

Every room here carries an age limit, and that is the whole difference between this address and the rest of Wyndham’s all-inclusive line: an ordinary mid-range week with the children taken out of it. Nobody warns you how that reshapes an hour in front of a lens — no supporting cast, and no one to talk you into it. A family travelling together always contains one person who insists on this year’s photograph; two adults, or six friends, contain nobody in that role, so the week runs out and the pictures never happen. A Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen photographer therefore has to be easy to say yes to: the date is held in a message thread long before take-off, and holding it costs nothing. Thousands of sessions across Playa del Carmen taught us that the hours which actually happen are the ones written down early. The one part of all this you get no vote on is the tariff, and that is deliberate — it was fixed long before you wrote, it is identical for everybody, and you can check it right now without writing to anyone, on our Playa del Carmen photographer page. Tell us who else knows about it before you tell us the dates: that answer shapes the hour more than the calendar does.

What We Photograph Most for Wyndham Alltra Couples

You chose an adults-only hotel, and that tells us most of what we need before you even write: no toddler on your hip, no three-generation lineup, no matching family shirts. It is two people, almost every time. These are the three sessions we photograph most for couples staying here.

Couples

No occasion, no announcement — just the first trip in years that belongs to nobody but the two of you, and a wish to remember it as more than a screenshot. This is the most relaxed of the three: a slow hour on open sand, gentle direction, and the two of you doing very little beyond being together while we work around you. Our couples photoshoot guide for Playa del Carmen covers what to wear and how the hour actually goes.

Anniversaries

The trip is the gift; the photographs are the part that outlives it. Five years, ten, twenty-five — the number changes and the request never does: one unhurried hour, the two of you, dressed the way you dressed for the dinner you already booked. We shoot it early, so you are back with the whole day still in front of you. Our anniversary session guide shows how we pace an hour like that.

Adults-only escapes

Sometimes there is nothing to mark at all — you came to sleep in, drink coffee slowly, and be somewhere warm together without a single obligation. A short session folds into that without breaking the spell: half an hour on the sand on your way to breakfast, and you have real photos of the version of the two of you that only shows up on a trip like this. Our vacation photoshoot guide walks through timing a shoot around a lazy week.

Where We Take Wyndham Alltra Guests for Photos

From your room the whole plan is a short walk, and it heads north. The hotel sits on Avenida Constituyentes in Playa del Carmen’s Colonia Centro, and the open sand you actually want opens up at Playa Mamitas, reached by the public access on Calle 28 Norte — five to ten minutes on foot, north along Quinta Avenida, pedestrian nearly the whole way. That means no taxi to book and nothing that can fail between your alarm and the first frame. We meet you at the beach access and send the exact pin over WhatsApp the day before.

The hour is the only thing we ask you to commit to. The beach club at Mamitas opens later in the morning — so while it is still shut, the wide stretch in front of you stays quiet and effectively yours, and by the time it fills up you are back at the hotel with the rest of the day untouched. One early alarm buys the two of you an open, unhurried beach.

Want one frame that belongs on a wall rather than in an album? Ask about our signature beach-gown editorial sessions in Playa del Carmen — metres of fabric in the morning breeze, made for exactly this kind of trip.

No Session Fee — Pay Only for the Photos You Keep

Pricing is refreshingly simple: there is no session fee. You pay $15 USD per photo with a 10-photo minimum ($150 USD), or choose a group package from $200 USD if friends are travelling with you — so you only ever pay for the images you love. You can see everything we offer, and hundreds of recent sessions, on our Playa del Carmen photographer page.

Every hotel has its own rules about photography on the property. We know how each one works — message us and we’ll tell you exactly what your options are where you’re staying.

Almost nobody who books us has been photographed properly before, and they usually apologise for it in the first message. There is nothing to apologise for — we direct the whole thing, and you can see how that turns out on our Playa del Carmen photographer page. Send us your dates and we will tell you which morning to keep free.

Ready to Get the Two of You on Open Sand?

Tell us your dates and what you are celebrating, and we will hold a morning for you. The early slots at Mamitas are the ones that go first.

Why Couples Here Book the Open Sand

Everything we shoot for couples staying at Wyndham Alltra happens on the open sand a short walk north — not for the light, but because that is where the two of you get a clean, quiet frame with nobody else in it.

  1. A clean, open frame

We take you to the wide sand at Mamitas instead of the narrow strip out front — so your anniversary picture has the two of you in it and nothing moored behind you.

  2. You get there on foot

A short walk north up a pedestrian avenue, an unhurried hour on the sand, and you are back before the day you actually planned has even started.

  3. We direct the whole thing

Almost nobody who books us has done this before. We tell you where to stand and what to do with your hands, so the result looks like the two of you.

  4. You keep only what you love

There is no session fee. You see the full gallery afterwards and choose from it, which takes the pressure off the hour.

Good to Know

Couples Sessions at Wyndham Alltra — FAQ

We are not models and we have never done this. Will it look awkward?

No, and it is the thing almost everyone apologises for in their first message. Practically nobody who books us has been photographed properly before. We direct the entire hour: where to stand, where to look, and when to simply talk to each other and ignore us. What comes out looks like the two of you, not like posing.

How much does a couples session at Wyndham Alltra cost?

There is no session fee. You pay $15 USD per photo with a 10-photo minimum ($150 USD), or choose a group package from $200 USD if friends are travelling with you. You see the full gallery first and choose from it afterwards, so you only ever pay for the images you love.

The beach in front of the hotel is not great for photos. Where do we actually shoot?

On the open public sand at Playa Mamitas, a short walk north — five to ten minutes on foot up Quinta Avenida, mostly pedestrian. It is wide, clean and quiet in the early morning, which is where guests staying here tend to end up anyway. We meet you at the public beach access and send the exact pin over WhatsApp the day before.

Can you help us plan an anniversary surprise or a vow renewal?

Yes — quiet, two-person occasions are most of what we shoot for guests of this hotel. Tell us what you are marking in the first message and we plan it over WhatsApp: the time, the spot on the sand, and how you want it to feel. On the morning we are already working the shoreline like any other photographer, so it stays unhurried and private.

Does it have to be in the morning?

It does not, but you should know the trade. This coast faces east, so there is no sunset over the water here. Mornings give you soft light and an empty beach; the hour before sunset is still beautiful, it just will not be quiet. Either way, plan on about an hour on the sand.
