Whatever You Are Marking at Hyatt Vivid, Booking the Photographer Is Free
A birthday is why ten people ended up on the same flight, and that group is the session we photograph most for this hotel. Bachelorette weeks that run to a tighter schedule than the resort does. Couples whose newest picture of the two of them together is four years old and was taken by a waiter. Anniversaries, where the number matters more than what anyone wears. Proposals hidden in plain sight, agreed in a thread the other person never sees. Honeymoons, usually arranged after you have already checked in. Maternity and babymoon frames at half speed. A chartered boat, when the group would rather mark it offshore. Adult siblings who talked their parents into coming. And one portrait of a single guest, which is rarely what she came for and usually what she keeps.
Vivid is the newest name Hyatt has attached to an adults-only property, and the crowd it draws is younger and louder than the brand’s older resorts: hardly anyone inside is on a repeat visit, because most people booked it off photographs, before there were years of reviews to read. Guests who choose a hotel that way tend to be exacting about their own pictures, and that is most of the job of the Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen photographer. Thousands of sessions across Playa del Carmen are why a first message gets answered with a real hour instead of a maybe. The date, the time and the one person who must not find out are all sorted over WhatsApp long before your flight, and the reservation itself carries no charge. No figure is quoted until the gallery exists, and every one of them — a single photograph, or a set — is laid out on the Playa del Carmen photographer page. Say when you are here and what the week is about; the rest takes one conversation.
The Sessions Hyatt Vivid Couples Book Most
You chose an adults-only hotel, and that tells us most of what we need to know before you even write: no toddler wrangling, no three-generation lineup, no matching family shirts. It is two people, almost every time. These are the three sessions we photograph most for guests staying here.
Anniversaries
The trip is the gift; the photographs are the part that outlives it. Five years, ten, twenty-five — the number changes and the request never does: one unhurried hour, the two of you, dressed the way you dressed for the dinner you already booked. We shoot it early, so you are back with the whole day in front of you. Our anniversary session guide shows how we pace an hour like that.
The couples trip
No occasion, no announcement, nothing to celebrate except the first week in years that belongs to nobody but the two of you — and a preference for remembering it properly. This is the most relaxed of the three: a slow hour on the sand, gentle direction, and the two of you doing very little beyond being together. Our couples photoshoot guide covers outfits and timing.
The question you haven’t asked yet
A fair number of the messages we get from guests staying here arrive with a ring already in a carry-on. An empty beach at first light is where we send most of them: nobody walks through the moment, and we are already on the sand looking like any other photographer at work — so your partner never looks at us twice. Say it in the first message and it stays between us. Our guide to planning a proposal in Playa del Carmen walks through the choreography.
Where Hyatt Vivid Sits — and Where We Meet You
From your room the walk is the whole logistics plan, and it is a short one. The public access to Playa Mamitas opens at Calle 28 Norte, roughly 650 metres away — about eight minutes on foot up Quinta Avenida, pedestrian the entire way — which means no taxi to book and nothing that can fail between your alarm and the first frame. We meet you at the beach access, and we send the exact pin over WhatsApp the day before.
The hour is the only thing we ask you to commit to. The beach club at Mamitas opens later in the morning — so while it is still shut, the sand in front of you is quiet and effectively yours, and by the time it fills up you are back at the hotel with the rest of the day untouched. One alarm buys the two of you a private beach.
Want one frame that belongs on a wall rather than in an album? Ask about our signature beach-gown editorial sessions in Playa del Carmen — metres of fabric in the morning breeze, made for this kind of trip.
Simple Pricing, No Session Fee
Pricing is refreshingly simple: there is no session fee. You pay $15 USD per photo with a 10-photo minimum ($150 USD), or choose a group package from $200 USD if friends are travelling with you — so you only pay for the images you love. You can see everything we offer, and hundreds of recent sessions, on our Playa del Carmen photographer page.
Every hotel has its own rules about photography on the property. We know how each one works — message us and we’ll tell you exactly what your options are where you’re staying.
Almost nobody who books us has been photographed properly before, and there is nothing to apologise for — we direct the whole thing, and you can see how that turns out on our Playa del Carmen photographer page. Send us your dates and we will tell you which morning to keep free.
Ready to Get the Two of You in the Same Frame?
Tell us your dates and what you are celebrating, and we will hold a morning for you. The early slots at Mamitas are the ones that go first.
Why Couples Here Book the First Hour
Everything we shoot for couples staying at Hyatt Vivid happens in one short window — not for the light, but because that is the hour the beach is still yours.
-
You get the beach to yourselves
Before the loungers come out, the sand at Mamitas is quiet — so your anniversary picture has the two of you in it and nobody else's afternoon behind you.
-
You are back before breakfast
Eight minutes up a pedestrian avenue, an unhurried hour on the sand, and the day you actually planned starts on time.
-
We direct the whole thing
Almost nobody who books us has done this before. We tell you where to stand and what to do with your hands, so the result looks like the two of you.
-
You keep only what you love
There is no session fee. You see the full gallery afterwards and choose from it, which takes the pressure off the hour.
Couples Sessions at Hyatt Vivid — FAQ
We are not models and we have never done this. Will it look awkward?
No, and it is the thing almost everyone apologises for in their first message. Practically nobody who books us has been photographed properly before. We direct the entire hour: where to stand, where to look, and when to simply talk to each other and ignore us. What comes out looks like the two of you, not like posing.
How much does a couples session at Hyatt Vivid cost?
There is no session fee. You pay $15 USD per photo with a 10-photo minimum ($150 USD), or choose a group package from $200 USD if friends are travelling with you. You see the full gallery first and choose from it afterwards, so you only ever pay for the images you love.
We want to keep a proposal a surprise. Can you help?
Yes — it is one of the three things we shoot most for guests of this hotel. We plan it over WhatsApp before you land: the mark on the sand, the time, a reason for the walk, and a signal. On the morning we are already working the shoreline like any other photographer, so nobody looks at us twice.
Where do we meet you if we are staying at Hyatt Vivid?
At the public beach access on Calle 28 Norte, which opens onto Playa Mamitas about 650 metres from the hotel — roughly eight minutes north along Quinta Avenida, pedestrian the whole way. We send the exact pin over WhatsApp the day before.
Does it have to be in the morning?
It does not, but you should know the trade. This coast faces east, so there is no sunset over the water here. Mornings give you soft light and an empty beach; the hour before sunset is still beautiful, it just will not be quiet. Either way, plan on about an hour on the sand.
