Five years, ten, twenty-five — the number changes and the request never does: one unhurried hour, the two of you, dressed the way you dressed for the dinner you already booked. The couples trip
No occasion, no announcement, nothing to celebrate except the first week in years that belongs to nobody but the two of you — and a preference for remembering it properly. A fair number of the messages we get from guests staying here arrive with a ring already in a carry-on. An empty beach at first light is where we send most of them: nobody walks through the moment, and we are already on the sand looking like any other photographer at work — so your partner never looks at us twice. Where Hyatt Vivid Sits — and Where We Meet You
From your room the walk is the whole logistics plan, and it is a short one. The public access to Playa Mamitas opens at Calle 28 Norte, roughly 650 metres away — about eight minutes on foot up Quinta Avenida, pedestrian the entire way — which means no taxi to book and nothing that can fail between your alarm and the first frame. We meet you at the beach access, and we send the exact pin over WhatsApp the day before.
The hour is the only thing we ask you to commit to. The beach club at Mamitas opens later in the morning — so while it is still shut, the sand in front of you is quiet and effectively yours, and by the time it fills up you are back at the hotel with the rest of the day untouched. Pricing is refreshingly simple: there is no session fee. You pay $15 USD per photo with a 10-photo minimum ($150 USD), or choose a group package from $200 USD if friends are travelling with you — so you only pay for the images you love. Yes — it is one of the three things we shoot most for guests of this hotel. We plan it over WhatsApp before you land: the mark on the sand, the time, a reason for the walk, and a signal. On the morning we are already working the shoreline like any other photographer, so nobody looks at us twice.
Where do we meet you if we are staying at Hyatt Vivid?
At the public beach access on Calle 28 Norte, which opens onto Playa Mamitas about 650 metres from the hotel — roughly eight minutes north along Quinta Avenida, pedestrian the whole way. We send the exact pin over WhatsApp the day before.
Does it have to be in the morning?
It does not, but you should know the trade. This coast faces east, so there is no sunset over the water here. Mornings give you soft light and an empty beach; the hour before sunset is still beautiful, it just will not be quiet. Either way, plan on about an hour on the sand.
