What Your Session Looks Like
About one hour, fully guided from the first frame to the last. We arrive with the dress, you slip it over whatever you're wearing, and from there every shot is directed: the assistant lifts and shapes the fabric into the wind, the photographer calls the moment, and you simply hold the pose you've been placed in. Sunrise Keeps the Beach — and the Moment — Yours
Moon Palace fronts an east-facing coast, so sunrise light comes in warm and low straight off the water — the same window that makes the resort's own beach glow at dawn. We'll almost always propose an early slot: the public beach we use is nearly empty at that hour, and you get clean backgrounds and the privacy to enjoy the whole production without an audience.
Where We Fly the Dress Near Moon Palace
Honest logistics, upfront: Moon Palace sits on the Carretera Cancún–Chetumal at km 340, south of the airport and outside the hotel zone, and its own beachfront is reserved for the resort's in-house vendors. So we meet you at a public beach instead — most often Playa Delfines, about 20 to 25 minutes away (roughly 22 km), with its iconic lookout and wide open sand. If you'd rather keep the drive short, we can also meet at a public access point closer to the resort — tell us your preference and we'll confirm the best spot for your date. Want to go bigger? Yes, because you never have to decide anything mid-shoot. We direct every frame — where to stand, where to look, when to move — and the assistant handles the dress entirely. Almost none of our clients have done an editorial session before; it's designed for exactly that.
Do we shoot on Moon Palace's own beach?
No — like most large all-inclusive resorts, Moon Palace reserves its beachfront for its own vendors. We meet you at a nearby public beach instead, most often Playa Delfines, about 20 to 25 minutes away. Mexican beaches are federal public property, so you get the same white sand and turquoise water without any resort paperwork.
Can my partner or my family be in some of the shots?
Absolutely, and most sessions mix both: editorial solo frames with the dress, then portraits with your partner or family in the same light. Tell us who's coming and we'll plan the hour around it.
