What to Wear to Your Flying Dress Photoshoot in Playa del Carmen

The dress is already included

Every session includes the Flying Dress in sizes XS to XXXL, so there is nothing to carry from home. A clothing assistant handles the fabric during the shoot — throwing it, catching the breeze and resetting it between frames — so you can focus on the pose.

Under the dress: a strapless or backless swimsuit

The dress is light and airy, and the light at 8 a.m. comes in low over the water. Wear a strapless or backless swimsuit underneath so nothing shows through the fabric or at the shoulders. Skip visible straps and anything with a print that could show through.

Choosing a colour for the Playa del Carmen sea

Warm colours — red, orange, yellow or fuchsia — stand out strongly against the turquoise water and pale sand. Navy, emerald and dark turquoise give a deeper, more editorial look. White and baby pink read soft and airy in the morning light. Tell us the look you love when you book and we will help you choose.

Barefoot, and simple accessories

Flying Dress sessions are shot barefoot, so there are no shoes to plan. Keep jewellery simple — small earrings or a single bracelet — so the dress stays the star. If you like a polished look, arrive with hair and makeup done; a style that tolerates a sea breeze works best.

What to bring

Sunscreen, a hat for between shots, water and a light cover-up for the walk to the beach. If you are coming from Cozumel or from a resort outside town, bring a small bag you can leave with the team while you shoot.

A second look, if you want one
